Airbus H135 Helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator - Download Link
Created by Hype Performance Group
The first great helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator has arrived, brought to us all by the Hype Performance Group. Initially released on the 27th of February, this model is undergoing rapid development and is still your best shot at flying a chopper - that’s your cue Mr Schwarzenegger. While technically you can land your chopper anywhere that’s flat enough to not rip it in half (or more realistically just induce the black crash screen), there are a fare few locations you can land your chopper in an orthodox and ground control approved manner - the video below gives you some of the best locations to land your helicopter in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Keep in mind that the engine for MSFS 2020, isn’t yet built for helicopters, so you’re not going to experience a 1:1 simulation of the chopper pilot experience, but it’s the best our there, and damn impressive that what this team has been able to put together given the current restraints. The team is a trusted 3rd party developer on the official forums, and I think the Microsoft & Asobo team deserve big Kudos for their embrace of the whole Microsoft addon community. “KNOWN ISSUES - HELP WANTED
- Outside cameras have a mind of their own.
- Our flight model needs a ton of work, this will likely be finalized after all engine work has been completed.
- Because we are still so early in the development process we have not yet tuned anything to be in line with the H135's real world performance specs. We will complete this work in the polishing phase of our eventual 1.0 release.
- Our model and textures do not yet meet our standards, but we are making progress every day. We would like to explore a medical themed interior so please reach out if you can assist with that.
- Avionics are not implemented or final at all. We are creating completely custom panels and working out some issues here still.
- We had intended to correctly model the Pratt and Whitney PW206B, but there is something seriously bugged out with turboprops so for now we have shipped the helicopter with our best efforts.”
